This specific piece

The labradorescence of this piece displays the widest spectrum of the four pendants: electric blue in the upper quadrant, gold and orange in the center, with flashes of pink-violet on the flanks. The colors overlap and their boundaries shift as the piece moves, with no dominant monochromatic area.

The copper bezel frames the stone with a rough electroformed texture that contrasts with the polished surface of the labradorite. The copper presents the irregular patina characteristic of the artisanal process.

About copper electroforming

Electroforming deposits copper onto a model through electrolysis. Unlike casting, it does not subject the mineral to heat, making it ideal for labradorites sensitive to thermal changes. The organic texture of the metal is a direct result of the electrochemical process, not a subsequent embossing work.

Is the multicolor flash the same from all angles?

No. The visible colors and their distribution change with the observation angle. From some angles, blue will dominate; from others, gold or orange. This variability is part of what makes each labradorite unique.
