This particular piece

The central motif is a large circle with an embossed crescent moon: the arrangement articulates the triple moon symbol clearly and deliberately. The teardrop amethyst hangs below the arch; the bluish moonstone occupies the central body, where the adularescence —that blue flash that moves with the light— is most visible from the front with side lighting. The ensemble is balanced and has a strong presence without being heavy.

The copper patina is light and warm. The crevices accumulate more darkening, creating depth without losing the golden sheen of the exposed areas. No two patinas are the same: this is the visual signature of the technique.

Technique: copper electroforming

Electroforming deposits layers of metallic copper onto a mold or core using controlled electrical current. The result is organic shapes with millimeter precision that conventional forging cannot replicate. With use, copper develops a natural patina that enriches the character of the piece; a dry cloth after each use slows down the process if you prefer to preserve the original tone.

Moonstone and amethyst — lapidary tradition

Adularia has been a symbol of femininity and lunar cycles from classical India to European Art Nouveau jewelry. Amethyst accompanies it as a stone of serenity (wisdom and calm) —a constant presence in Western goldsmithing since ancient Greece. Together they articulate the visual and symbolic vocabulary of the triple moon in the goddess tradition.

Symbolic associations belong to cultural and historical traditions. They are shared for educational purposes, not as medical advice.

Frequently asked questions

Is the moonstone genuine or imitation?

Genuine. Natural adularia shows adularescence —a blue or white sheen that shifts with the movement of the piece—. Glass imitations have a uniform, flat sparkle, without the characteristic internal depth of feldspar.

Can copper stain the skin?

With continued use, it may leave a slight greenish-gray mark on some people. It is not toxic and does not indicate a problem with the piece —it is a natural chemical reaction between copper and sweat—. A transparent varnish on the metal completely prevents this.

What does it mean for it to be an outlet piece?

Ecos del Taller pieces are original designer items, without defects. The outlet features unique designs that were not integrated into the main collections —same artisanal quality, adjusted price because it is an archive piece—.
