The Monedita Design
The Monedita is a minimalist pendant format: a small mineral disk — 16 × 13 mm — set in a 925 silver bezel with an integrated bail for the chain. The proportion is designed so that the stone is the sole protagonist: without additional decorative frames. The bezel holds the stone with full perimeter contact, protecting the edge without the need for prongs that interrupt the view of the mineral.
Almandine Garnet
Almandine garnet (Fe₃Al₂(SiO₄)₃) is the most common variety of the garnet group and the hardest within it. Its color ranges from intense red to purplish-red or brownish-red, produced by the high concentration of iron in its structure. It crystallizes in the cubic system, which gives it optical isotropy: unlike many colored gems, almandine does not show dichroism. Gem-quality deposits are found mainly in India, Sri Lanka, Brazil, and Madagascar. With 7.5–8.5 Mohs, it is one of the most wear-resistant minerals used in artisan jewelry.

Untreated. The intense red of almandine is its natural color, produced by the high concentration of iron in its mineralogical structure. No heat treatment, no dyeing, no fracture-filling.

Are the dimensions exact?
16 × 13 × 3 mm (complete piece with bezel). As it is handmade, there may be a variation of ±0.5 mm in any dimension.
