The Monedita Design
The Monedita is a minimalist pendant format: a small mineral disk — 16 × 13 mm — set in a 925 silver bezel with an integrated bail for the chain. The proportion is designed so that the stone is the sole protagonist: no additional decorative frames. The bezel holds the stone with full perimeter contact, protecting the edge without the need for prongs that interrupt the view of the mineral.
The Peridot
Peridot is the gemological variety of olivine ((Mg,Fe)₂SiO₄). Unlike most gems, it exists in a single color: lime green to yellowish green, produced by the presence of bivalent iron (Fe²⁺) in the crystal structure. It is one of the few gemological minerals that forms in the Earth's upper mantle, not in the crust — the crystals ascend to the surface through volcanic eruptions. The main deposits of gem quality are in Pakistan, Egypt (Zabargad Island) and the Hawaiian Islands. With 6.5–7 Mohs, it is suitable for everyday jewelry with regular care.
In crystal tradition, peridot (renewal and clarity) is associated with the beginning of new cycles and detachment from what no longer serves.

Is the peridot treated?
Untreated. The green color of peridot is its natural color, produced by bivalent iron in the olivine structure. No dyeing, heat treatment or any other enhancement process is applied.
What chain is included?
A 45 cm stainless steel chain is included. If you prefer a 925 silver chain or a different length, please consult us before placing your order.
Are the dimensions exact?
16 × 13 × 2 mm (complete piece with bezel). As it is handmade, there may be a variation of ±0.5 mm in any dimension.
