Gorgeous clear and awesome rutile this freeform Copper Rutilated Quartz cabochon is a superb piece.
Just like all rutiles this is a freezed moment in time, the Iron stain gives even more depth to it.
It is more of a slice than a cabochon because it lacks the typical dome of a cab.
You definetly want to take a look at all the photos.
On the back it has a faint crack line on the surface but that is the only one.
Copper Rutilated Quartz is a crystal that is embedded with needle-like copper rutile.
Rutile is a Latin word means reddish color.
It creates a dramatic effect in the stone. Its refractive index is very high and has great effect because it gives out an ancient energy.
The countries where the stone is found includes Madagascar, Brazil, Mexico, U.S, India to name a few.
This cabochon was cut and polished in our workshop from rough material.
