If you have a project in mind that includes Selenite these pieces of Selenite might be what you are looking for!♥
We do not recomend these crystals to be worn or carried as a pocket stone because of the easyness with which they scratch.
If you do choose to do so anyway a soft carrying pouch will help keep the stone safe from scraches.
WHAT IS SLENITE:
Selenite is a crystalline variety of the mineral gypsum also commonly known as Satin Spar Gypsum.
It is a very soft mineral which can be easily scratched with a fingernail and therefore not recommended for jewellery, unless looked after very carefully.
If placed in water, Selenite will revert to gypsum.
They can easily be cleaned with a bit of water and when dry with a bit of mineral oil (baby oil).
Their size and thickness varies quite a bit as shown in the photos.
They are sold by weight (roughly 200grams lots) and at random.
You can use them for plants, trays, candles and any other creative project you can think of.
